Dr. Van Dyk, a highly respected orthopedic surgeon, is now retired after a distinguished career specializing in arthroscopy and knee arthroplasty. She previously maintained a successful private practice in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Van Dyk boasts an impressive academic background, holding a BS in Biochemistry from UCLA and an MD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She did her internship and residency training at the University of Southern California with Augusto Sarmiento as Chairman of Orthopaedics. Her fellowship training with Dr. Lanny Johnson honed her skills in advanced techniques, focusing on arthroscopic surgery and articular cartilage research.

Throughout her career, Dr. Van Dyk nurtured a passion for education. She served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics at LAC-USC Medical Center Sports Service and an Associate Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, generously sharing her knowledge with the next generation of surgeons.

Dr. Van Dyk's dedication extended internationally. She volunteered with Operation Arthroscopy, traveling to Cuba, Vietnam, and Peru to train local surgeons.

Born and raised in North Holland, Netherlands, Dr. Van Dyk remains fluent in her native Dutch. Her passion for languages led her to learn German, French, Hebrew, and Spanish to varying degrees. While she may not be fluent in all of them anymore, these experiences fostered a deep appreciation for cross-cultural communication and a global perspective.
