FORUM FUND

Over 20 years ago, Pam Whitehead, with the support of DonJoy Orthopedics, was instrumental in inviting a group of fellowship trained, female Orthopedic Surgeons to an inaugural meeting in San Diego. This group evolved into the organization we now call The Forum – which provides a unique “forum” for scientific discussion and support among women orthopedic sports medicine surgeons.

Our national organization, currently comprising more than 90 members, is supported by annual membership dues and industry donations. Pam was a tireless supporter of our group – in her executive activities and her ongoing efforts to secure industry sponsorship. With profound sadness, we mourned Pam’s untimely passing in 2017. Now, in her honor, the Forum Board is pleased to announce the creation of The Pam Whitehead Forum Fund, with the intent of endowing the organization for future generations of women orthopedic sports medicine surgeons. The Pam Whitehead Forum Fund will provide financial support for the operational costs of the organization, ensuring its long-term viability.
